Lead UX/UI Product Designer

Overview

Lead UI/UX Product Designer role at Search Atlas. We’re a rapidly growing SEO software company and full-service digital agency that helps websites improve their Google performance. From Fortune 500 companies to Silicon Valley startups, our clients trust us to drive results. We’re hiring to drive the design strategy and user experience of our flagship search analytics SaaS platform.

You’ll own the end-to-end design lifecycle, from discovery to high-fidelity execution, and work cross-functionally to define how users interact with powerful tools in a simple, engaging way. We’re looking for someone hands-on, user-obsessed, and passionate about creating sophisticated design systems that scale beautifully across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design System Ownership: Build and maintain a cohesive design system that guarantees visual consistency, accessibility, and development efficiency across all products.
• Design Strategy & Vision: Lead the product design vision for our SaaS platform, ensuring clarity, usability, and elegance across user flows and interactions.
• Data Visualization & Interaction Design: Create clear, engaging data visualizations that help users interpret complex search and SEO insights with ease.
• Wireframes to High-Fidelity Execution: Produce wireframes, prototypes, and polished mockups in Figma to guide product development with precision and clarity.
• User Research & Usability Testing: Conduct and lead user research initiatives to gather feedback, validate concepts, and drive iterative improvements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers and engineers to translate business goals and technical constraints into delightful user experiences.
• Mentorship & Design Leadership: Manage and mentor designers, review work, and foster a strong design culture within the organization.
• Onboarding & Retention UX: Continuously refine onboarding and engagement flows to accelerate time-to-value and improve user retention.

Requirements

• 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, with at least 3 years in senior or lead roles focused on SaaS or data-heavy web platforms.
• Strong portfolio showcasing leadership in design strategy and execution for complex web applications.
• Deep expertise in Figma, with a strong command of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proven experience building and maintaining scalable design systems.
• Advanced skills in information architecture and data visualization design.
• Experience conducting usability research, user interviews, and translating insights into design improvements.
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
• Understanding of subscription-based SaaS models and user behavior metrics (engagement, churn, retention).
• Ability to balance design vision with technical feasibility and product priorities.
• Business level written and oral English skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with complex analytics platforms or SEO tools.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS or working closely with engineers to bridge design-implementation gaps.
• Exposure to A/B testing or conversion rate optimization from a UX perspective.
• Experience mentoring or scaling a design team in a high-growth startup environment.

Salary & Benefits

• $4,000-$5,000 USD per month/depending on location and skills/experience
• 15 Days Paid Time Off + Christmas Day + New Year’s Day Paid Off
