Jr. .NET Developer – WEX Join to apply for the Jr. .NET Developer role at WEX. Job Description Contributes to team success through understanding of the team's technical area and processes, at times requiring assistance from teammates. Learning how to break down feature work into understandable, workable units for WEX Health teams. Responsibilities and Duties Team Collaboration Support applications during business hours. Research issues and Service Requests to engage discussions with, and propose solutions to your teammates. Support production deployments, which occur on evenings and weekends. Troubleshoot, evaluate, and propose solutions to resolve issues that arise. Participate in team meetings and learn from feature discussions. Software Design and Architecture Understand designs that have been created from existing features. Develop solutions, with guidance from teammates, that can be performant, scalable, consistent and supportable using the available scope, time and budget. Understand feedback given in code reviews within the team to ensure implementations adhere to goals, standards, and best practices. Deliver software that meets requirements by learning the product area to provide the best long‑term solutions. Understand unit test coverage. Ask questions to ensure complete understanding of the requirements. Collaborate with your teammates to ensure requirements are feasible, implementation is efficient, and the design is aligned with the technical direction set by your team and Architects. Build relationships with Architects, Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Engineers and Business Analysts to collaborate on design and delivery decisions. Project Implementation Learn common security vulnerabilities and best practices defined by Architects to reduce risk of security threats. Develop technical solutions in all environments. Product Proficiency Develop an understanding of your team’s product domain. Understand the application behavior from a technical and business perspective. Leadership Step into other roles to ensure project deadlines are met. Participate in features or components through the full software deployment lifecycle, including integration, customer feedback, release, and support phases. Perform effectively in a cross‑functional team environment to ensure successful execution and delivery of project commitments. Communicate priorities and dependencies across teams to ensure successful execution and delivery of commitments. Build relationships with Business Analysts, Quality Assurance Engineers, Architects, Product Owners, Support, Management, Configuration Management, Database Administrators, etc. Qualifications and Skills 0 - 2 years of relevant experience typical in this role Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field Knowledge of tools and programming languages defined by Development Managers specific to their teams Basic understanding of Software Development Fundamentals and Process, Design, Documentation, Testing, and tools Willingness to learn in distributed team environment Effective oral and written communication skills Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Engineering and Information Technology Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at WEX by 2x. #J-18808-Ljbffr
