Terradot is hiring a Full-Stack Product Engineer (Mobile) for our Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) Deployment Platform. This role will be pivotal in developing our software platform, especially our mobile app to support the scaling of our deployments and removing carbon at the speed & scale our planet requires. You will build products that leverage bits to move atoms effectively

This role is a key part of Terradot’s Technology Team and Brazil Team. You will work on the Technology Team and work directly with the founders.

Responsibilities

  • You will help build and scale Terradot’s Deployment Platform that manages deployment logistics and scientific data collection to accelerate Terradot's global ERW deployments and help remove carbon at Speed & Scale.
  • You will work on the Web Frontend (React), Mobile (React Native), and Backend (Python/FastAPI) to create magical products with a focus on Mobile. You will work on other technical infrastructure, such as data pipelines, CI/CD, DevOPs, etc. as needed.
  • You will contribute to our culture of strong written documentation and development of CI/CD pipelines, unit-testing ensuring smooth deployment and high-quality code.
  • You will interface with the Deployment Operations team and gather real-time feedback from the Field to rapidly iterate on technology we build to support them. You will travel to our project locations in Brazil as needed to help deploy technology with our Deployment Operations team and collect feedback in the field.

Background and Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack development (Frontend + Backend + Cloud), with a focus on Mobile (React Native), experience in Python/Typescript or related technologies, and BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with React Native, with a proven track record of shipping cross-platform mobile applications (Android & iOS), especially in a startup environment building 0-to-1 products and then scaling them.
  • Excellent track record of shipping and going through the full product development cycle right from writing the first line of code to product in the hands of users and iterating quickly on product feedback.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and collaborating with engineering, design, and deployment operations teams.

Nice to Haves:

  • Past experience working in CDR/climate/agriculture is not a requirement, but a passion for climate is a plus
  • Past experience building cutting-edge mobile applications used in the physical world (e.g. in logistics, aerospace, construction) is a plus
  • Past multidisciplinary teamwork in a science heavy field e.g. working on software in healthcare) is a huge plus, as you will be working with an interdisciplinary team with expertise in Geology, Soil Science, Agronomy, AI, Remote Sensing, Carbon Markets, Finance.

About Us:

Terradot is building gigaton-scale, high-quality Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) through Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW), and our Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) platform accelerates high-integrity CDR around the world. With Stanford’s Soil and Environmental Biogeochemistry Lab, Terradot is building the optimization and verification technology to bring ERW to gigaton scale.

Terradot is ramping global deployment of our innovative carbon-capture solution. Demand for permanent, high-quality carbon credits is accelerating rapidly from blue-chip buyers, and Terradot is building out our team in order to meet this demand. We have multiple deployments in the field and are in the process of finalizing additional projects with significant scale. Behind each deployment is a complex ecosystem of project financiers, developers, agriculture/land owners, mining companies/feedstock suppliers, and CDR buyers. You will join a lean team that is growing quickly and have the opportunity to take on significant responsibility in a role with global exposure and tangible impact. Ultimately, you will help build Terradot into a scaled, public-benefit, for-profit enterprise that removes billions of tons of carbon per year and restores hundreds of millions of hectares of farmland as part of our mission to Regenerate Earth.
