Overview The Chemical Engineer I is responsible for conducting all testing activities under the ETEC# R&D project, focused on developing and delivering a chemical product designed to enhance water injectivity in oil reservoirs. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with the Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the area of support Support the field technically through online, phone, and technical papers Provide 24/7 support for critical operations in the field when needed Submit best practices, case histories, and lessons learned to the knowledge‑management database Follow up on field failures requiring technology involvement and ensure the learning is shared across the field Raise alerts across the Service Delivery organization when unfamiliar technical issues arise on a job Coach other technical resources in their area of expertise Communicate with Engineering and Technology organization on issues and lessons learned related to different technologies Handle PL specific responsibilities Handle special projects as required Perform tests needed to develop the product aimed at improving injectivity in oil wells Warranty the test chronogram for the ETEC is accomplished Develop reports of the technical data obtained by the testing Maintain inventory control Request materials needed to perform tests Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or Industrial Engineering Displays initiative, is self‑driven, and flexible Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Ability to develop and mentor others Availability on call outside of normal business hours Good communication skills Fluency in English and Portuguese is required Desired Characteristics Thorough understanding of PL technology and Service Delivery requirements Significant operational experience End‑to‑end knowledge of the drilling and completion process is an advantage Ability to learn and use various computer tools to prepare data and visualizations for analysis Ability to work independently Work Schedule Regular hours from a Retic‑RJ based Baker Hughes office Benefits Contemporary work‑life balance policies and wellbeing activities Comprehensive private medical care options Life insurance and disability programs Tailored financial programs Additional elected or voluntary benefits Equal Opportunity Statement Baker Hughes Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
