Job Description We are seeking an experienced Distributed Systems Architect to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining distributed backend services using Java and Node.js. You will work closely with architects and product teams on system components and integrations, and participate in code reviews, system design sessions, and operational readiness activities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java (backend, microservices, distributed systems) and hands‑on experience with Kafka (producers, consumers, partitions, offsets, stream processing). Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering. Strong expertise in Java (backend, microservices, distributed systems). Hands‑on experience with Kafka (producers, consumers, partitions, offsets, stream processing). Proficiency in Node.js backend development. Experience deploying services on Kubernetes. Experience with GitHub Actions for CI / CD. Practical experience with AWS and / or GCP. Solid understanding of design patterns, system architecture, and microservices. Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL (schema design, performance, migrations). Strong debugging, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in distributed teams.
