Energy Management System Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Energy Management System Specialist to join our team. As an EMS Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable, efficient, and secure operation of electrical systems.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing, configuring, and maintaining Energy Management Systems (EMS) for real-time monitoring and control of generation units and transmission assets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and configuring EMS platforms for real-time monitoring and control
  • SUPPORTING GENERATION CONTROL, FREQUENCY AND VOLTAGE REGULATION THROUGH EMS FUNCTIONALITIES
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on EMS software to generation and transmission environments
  • Acting as a liaison between clients and EMS development teams to ensure technical specifications are met
  • Providing technical support and training to operational and engineering teams
  • Validating EMS data models
  • Collaborating with SCADA system teams for proper integration
  • Adjusting network and generation applications in real-time
  • Creating valid DTS models and testing events with customers
  • Analyzing operational data to identify opportunities for optimizing generation dispatch, transmission flows, and system efficiency
  • Assisting project teams with troubleshooting, application data modeling, and implementing effective solutions
  • Maintaining and organizing project documentation, including technical reports and drawings
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, or related field
  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Proven experience in EMS platforms (GE products)
  • Strong understanding of transmission/generation system operations
