Sr. Advisory Consultant - Financial Services, Professional Services The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides guidance through a collection of offerings to help customers achieve outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption and delivers focused guidance through our global specialty practices across a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries. The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Sr. Advisory Consultant - Financial Services to join our team. In this role, you will work with customers in the Financial Services Industry (FSI) and Fintech sectors to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet technical requirements and business objectives. You will drive customer success through the cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle. You should have a deep understanding of AWS products and services and be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to customer needs. You will gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose migration strategies to AWS. As a trusted advisor, you will provide guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, lead the implementation process, ensure adherence to best practices, optimize performance, and manage risks throughout the project. Responsibilities Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery Collaborating with internal AWS teams and external stakeholders to foster a culture of innovation in financial services, driving continuous improvements and positive change Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts Managing relationships with C-level executives in financial institutions, Fintechs, and other stakeholders to align on and execute strategic transformation initiatives About The Team AWS values diverse experiences and encourages candidates to apply even if they do not meet all preferred qualifications. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation 7+ years of relevant experience in enterprise IT, consulting, and/or engineering/development Experience engaging with C-level executives to define and execute enterprise-wide transformation programs Experience identifying opportunities to scale engagements in enterprise IT professional services or cloud services Demonstrated experience in architecture design, migration planning, and successful cloud project delivery, with strong background in Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (SAFe, TOGAF) and IT management frameworks (ITIL, COBIT) Effective communication in English in technical and business settings Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation) Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python) Expertise in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
