About The JavaScript Engineer RoleThis is a JavaScript Engineer role, where you'll work across a variety of client projects simultaneously. On a day-to-day basis, you'll be supporting bug fixes, maintaining applications, and implementing enhancements. This role offers broad visibility into different projects and technologies, so strong organisational skills and the ability to switch contexts effectively are essential. As an Engineer at Nearform, your main task will be designing & building applications using JavaScript. However, as you'll likely work on a variety of projects, your responsibilities may also include: Supporting component design, development and maintenance and taking responsibility for personal technical quality standards Assisting with defining structured practices, especially in source code management, building and deployment. Designing and implementing data storage solutions. Assisting with the analysis of client requirements. Working with leaders to guarantee high quality and timely delivery of tasks. Providing support across multiple projects simultaneously, including bug fixing, maintenance, and small enhancements. Switching contexts effectively between tasks and projects, staying organised and managing timelines. Gaining visibility across a range of client projects and occasionally engaging with internal and external team members to clarify needs or provide updates. What We Are Looking For In This PersonSignificant experience delivering at a Mid/ Senior Engineer level. We are looking for someone with at least 4 years of commercial experience Practical experience of delivering in an agile environment. Practical experience and knowledge of developing real-world solutions. Deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript language and frameworks, must include Node.js and React. Experience with React Native is a strong bonus. Deep understanding of versioning control tools - e.g. Git. Testing experience and familiarity with testing tools at all levels, unit, integration and end to end testing. Practical and real world experience working with databases and cloud environments. Experience with automation, CI and CD. Experience building software collaboratively using pull requests and code reviews. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities across multiple projects. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Professional proficiency in English. Hiring Manager Interview (45 mins via Zoom): A conversation with a Hiring Manager focused on your approach to teamwork, client collaboration, and problem-solving in an enterprise development setting.
