About Kojo
It\'s time to build. Whether it\'s creating more housing, upgrading our infrastructure, or adapting to climate change, one thing is clear: the construction industry is at the center of solving our biggest problems. We’re making buildings cheaper and easier to build by transforming the way commercial construction companies buy their materials. Join us.
Founded in 2018, Kojo is now one of the fastest-growing construction technology companies in the world. Construction accounts for $10 trillion in global spend annually and we can’t live without its output - our roads, schools, hospitals, and offices. Despite this, there’s been very little innovation over the past 70 years in how materials - which constitute up to 40% of project costs - are bought and sold. This is our opportunity.
What You’ll Do
In this position, you will design and implement scalable solutions that address enterprise-level challenges, ensuring Kojo’s systems grow seamlessly with client demand. You will create and refine automation tools that improve efficiency across teams, reduce operational toil, and enhance the engineering experience.
Collaboration will be at the core of your work. You’ll partner with Product, SRE, and CS teams to ensure that technical efforts align with business objectives. Key initiatives may include self-service SSO implementation, multi-org user management enhancements, internal tooling innovation, and database efficiency improvements.
Need-to-Have Skills
Proficiency in object-oriented programming
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure tools like AWS and Kubernetes for deployment and scaling.
Experience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable systems in complex environments.
Expertise in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Knowledge of frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js for building user-facing interfaces.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration with backend services.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how to integrate development processes into scalable workflows.
Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
Datadog experience
AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with user authentication systems such as SSO, OAuth, or SCIM protocols.
Knowledge of feature flag systems and techniques to manage staged rollouts.
Experience with internal tooling development and automation frameworks.
Exposure to frontend performance optimization techniques and best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Why Join Us?
Kojo offers the chance to work on meaningful, high-impact projects that directly shape the future of enterprise-scale systems. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic, diverse team committed to innovation and efficiency. The remote-friendly nature of this role provides flexibility, while Kojo’s culture emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and seamless collaboration.
