Quality Assurance Lead

We’re seeking a Backend Engineer to help build critical infrastructure, developer integrations, and intelligent workflows from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex technical challenges at the intersection of AI, automation, and software engineering tools.

Role Overview

As the QA Lead, you will be responsible for defining and executing the QA vision, strategy, and processes across the company. You will lead efforts to establish best practices in quality, build and mentor a team of QA engineers, and collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations teams. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on involvement in automation, testing frameworks, and quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the company-wide QA strategy, aligning it with business and engineering goals.
• Establish and maintain QA processes, standards, and metrics to ensure product quality and continuous improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and grow the QA team (manual and automation engineers).
• Collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to integrate QA into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Select, implement, and maintain QA tools and automation frameworks to scale testing efficiency.
• Own test planning, execution, and reporting for new features, releases, and regression cycles.
• Define KPIs and quality metrics to monitor product health and team performance.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous feedback loops to prevent recurring issues.
• Advocate for quality across the company, ensuring it’s embedded in culture and practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a QA Lead or Senior QA Engineer in a software development environment.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and modern development practices (Agile, CI/CD, DevOps).
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.).
• Experience with performance, security, and integration testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to define strategy while remaining hands-on when needed.

Nice to Have

• Experience in SaaS, cloud, or enterprise-level software.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP environments.
• Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and production testing practices.
• ISTQB or other QA/Testing certifications.
