SAP Basis Consultant Job Description HCLTech is a global technology company with industry-leading capabilities centered around digital, engineering, cloud and AI. We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to join our team. Ensure Service Level Agreement adherence and process compliance (ITIL awareness) Mentor and train junior colleagues Handle tickets, perform root cause analysis, and troubleshoot technical issues Lead installation, configuration, migration, and upgrade activities Define and enforce operational processes Maximize system uptime and manage BASIS activities Collaborate with functional teams on cutover strategies and post-implementation support Key responsibilities include: SAP server installation/configuration (ABAP, Java, ABAP+Java stacks) High Availability setup (Unix/Windows) SAP BASIS server administration and RCA for escalated issues Kickstart environment setup and maintenance End-to-end SAP lifecycle implementations for global clients SAP version and EHP upgrades Performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting across app, DB, and OS Strong understanding of NetWeaver components (EP, PI, BI, ECC, CRM, SRM, SolMan, TREX, MDM) Oracle DB, BRTools, SAP HANA DB, Sybase ASE, Linux/Windows administration The ideal candidate will possess advanced English skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
