As a seasoned Anti-Money Laundering Specialist , you will play a pivotal role in spearheading our institution's AML efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a meaningful impact in shaping our compliance strategy. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in implementing and maintaining Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and procedures aligned with global best practices, particularly in the Brazilian market. They will be well-versed in conducting customer due diligence (CDD/KYC/KYB) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews using risk-based methodologies. Lead the development and implementation of AML/CFT policies and procedures that adhere to stringent regulatory requirements. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AML processes into business operations. Design and deploy effective transaction monitoring systems, including screening and investigation protocols for suspicious activities. Key Responsibilities: Drive the creation and submission of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and other regulatory filings with relevant authorities. Develop and maintain internal procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving AML regulations. Monitor and stay abreast of developments in AML laws, industry trends, and emerging threats. Senior-level professionals in this field typically hold at least 7 years of experience in AML/CFT compliance within financial, fintech, or VASP sectors. Proficiency in KYC/KYB, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting is essential. Fluency in English and Portuguese is required, along with excellent analytical skills, integrity, and self-motivation as part of the second line of defense.
