What will you do?
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing platform engineering team;
- Define and execute the platform strategy, aligning it with business goals;
- Establish and oversee comprehensive testing and quality assurance processes to ensure product quality;
- Implement and improve DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes;
- Build and maintain a resilient infrastructure through SRE principles and practices;
- Design, implement, and manage the underlying infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage;
- Optimize database performance and efficiency through fine-tuning and performance analysis.
- Implement cost optimization strategies and monitor spending in AWS and other services to maximize ROI;
- Work closely with developers to ensure alignment and efficient collaboration;
- Lead incident response and post-incident analysis to prevent recurrence;
- Keep management teams apprised of progress, challenges, growth planning, and incidents regularly.
What do you need to know?
- Bachelor's degree in Computing or related;
- Experience as a Platform Engineering Manager or similar role;
- Background in software engineering, cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and infrastructure;
- Experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript;
- Deep understanding of testing, quality assurance, DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure management.
- Experience with database administration and optimization;
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Strong leadership and communication abilities;
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively;
- Experience in cost management and optimization for cloud environments;
- Experience in interviewing and hiring;
- Fluent in English.
Great if you have
- Experience or certifications in AWS;
- Previous experience with serverless applications;
- Intermediate Spanish.
