Job Title: Data Lead with Data Steward Capabilities Location: Alphaville, São Paulo (Hybrid - 02 Days Onsite) We are seeking a Data Lead with strong technical expertise and proven experience in team leadership. This role combines strategic data management with hands-on governance and quality practices. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, capable of applying Data Science to solve analytical and technical challenges, and will play a key role in building a data-driven culture across the organization. Key Responsibilities Lead data squads, ensuring technical and strategic alignment with business areas. Define and implement data governance, quality, and architecture strategies. Build and maintain data governance and quality processes. Ensure data resources meet business needs, maintaining high standards of data quality and metadata management. Generate studies, insights, and KPIs to monitor data accuracy and support business strategies. Conduct alignment meetings, feedback sessions, and individual development plans (IDPs) with team members. Act as the technical focal point in data projects, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Promote best practices in data engineering, including pipelines, orchestration, and automation. Support integration between product, engineering, and internal stakeholders. Technical Requirements Strong experience with SQL, Python, data modeling, and ETL/ELT tools. Knowledge of Cloud Data Platforms (preferably GCP, Azure, or AWS). Familiarity with conceptual and physical data modeling. Experience with tools such as Databricks, Spark, Hadoop, Airflow. Proficiency in data quality and data cataloging tools. Knowledge of data integration methodologies (ETL/ELT). Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). Leadership Requirements Previous experience as a technical leader or manager of data teams. Ability to conduct 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and feedback sessions. Capability to inspire, develop, and engage talent. Clear and empathetic communication across all organizational levels. Strategic vision and results-oriented mindset. Education and Languages Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields. Advanced English required (fluency necessary for global stakeholder communication).
