Senior Tax Manager Job Description

As a Senior Tax Manager, you will provide expertise to the team on all tax-technical matters and demonstrate leadership in developing tax skills. Your responsibilities will include:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Establish rapport with sophisticated clients.
  • Oversee the preparation of individual, partnership, foundation, fiduciary, and gift tax returns for high net worth individuals and affiliated entities.
  • Present findings to tax authorities.

Team Leadership and Reporting:

  • Report to the Director and lead a team providing corporate tax services to clients.
  • Ensure timely delivery and handle ad hoc situations and complaints with proper solutions.
  • Manage a team of 30+ subordinates.

Transfer Pricing and Strategy:

  • Ensure the success of the Group’s tax/transfer price strategy by managing the fiscal results of TradeCo’s distributors.
  • Collaborate with the TradeCo Controlling & Compliance team and local Finance functions.

Tax Research and Compliance:

  • Perform necessary tax research to support and understand tax positions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and apply tax standards effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related fields.
  • Certifications: CPA, IICC, VAT, PST, HST, GST, EA, ERP, NYSC, MST.
  • Desired Skills: Proficiency in tax software, accounting standards, and a broad range of corporate tax matters.
  • Experience: 10+ years in tax and/or family office environment, with particular attention to partnerships and mutual fund tax.

Language Requirement:

  • Fluent in English.
