Project Overview As a Sr Python Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building high-performance data processing pipelines using Pandas and Polars. Data Pipeline Development: Develop and expose RESTful APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks. Parquet File Processing: Consume and process normalized Parquet files to generate dynamic Excel reports. Spec-Driven Development: Contribute to a spec-driven development workflow to scaffold and generate API/data pipeline code. Key objectives include optimizing report generation logic for speed and scalability while integrating with messaging and storage mechanisms. Required Skills and Experience To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications: Python Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Python for data processing. Backend Experience: Experience building backend services or APIs. Data Modeling: Solid understanding of data modeling principles and handling normalized datasets. Enterprise Integration: Familiarity with enterprise messaging patterns and data integration. CI/CD Experience: Experience working with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines. Infrastructure-as-Code: Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Bicep or comparable tools.
