Performance Engineering Role This is a challenging opportunity to work on performance testing of leading software systems in the energy domain. The developed product covers all aspects of oil and gas production. You will be joining a senior, supportive, and friendly team committed to delivering high-quality solutions. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute performance test plans, scripts, and scenarios for drilling applications. • Analyze system behavior under stress, load, and endurance conditions to identify performance bottlenecks. • Use tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or custom scripts to simulate operational environments. • Collaborate with software architects, developers, and DevOps to optimize throughput, latency, and resource utilization. • Monitor key performance indicators (CPU, memory, I/O, network) during test executions using tools like New Relic. • Create performance benchmark baselines and contribute to SLAs definition for system responsiveness and throughput. • Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating performance testing into automated workflows. • Participate in code and architecture reviews to assess and improve system scalability and resiliency. • Generate detailed test reports and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders. Mandatory Skills Description: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • 3+ years of experience in performance engineering or testing in enterprise or industrial software. • Strong Java and/or C# Core understanding with the ability to debug issues. • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for test automation. • Experience with monitoring tools like New Relic, Dynatrace. • Solid understanding of network latency, threading/concurrency, memory profiling, and database performance. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret performance metrics into actionable insights. Nice-to-Have Skills Description: • Experience with cloud platforms supporting oilfield operations. • Familiarity with oil and gas drilling workflows, real-time data protocols.
