Software Development Expert Ascendion seeks a skilled Software Development Expert to design, develop and maintain APIs using Apigee, Krakend or AWS API Gateway. Primary Responsibilities: Design, develop and maintain scalable and secure API architectures using REST, gRPC and GraphQL. Implement backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and frontend applications using JavaScript/TypeScript with React or Angular. Work with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP for deployment, scaling and monitoring. Utilize CI/CD pipelines (ADO Pipelines), GitHub, Docker and Kubernetes to manage code, build processes and deployments. Write robust unit, integration and automated tests using tools such as Cucumber and Mockito. Contribute to cross-organization API standards, documentation and best practices. Collaborate with agile/scrum teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of overall professional experience. Java (Spring Boot): API development: API management (Apigee/Krakend/AWS Gateway): 3 years Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP): JavaScript/TypeScript: React/Angular: Strong understanding of API protocols and architectural patterns (REST, gRPC, GraphQL). Proficiency with CI/CD, GitHub, Docker and Kubernetes. Experience writing automated tests (Cucumber, Mockito). Ability to write clear documentation and contribute to API governance efforts.
