Lead Data Scientist & Strategy Director   About the Role: We're seeking a seasoned data science leader to drive our advanced analytics strategy, develop cutting-edge machine learning models, and oversee data-driven product deployments. This senior role will focus on student audience segmentation, predictive propensity modeling, and AI-enabled career advising. You'll manage a team of data scientists and engineers, directing robust, scalable data pipelines and analytical solutions to enhance student engagement, career outcomes, and institutional effectiveness. Data Science Strategy and Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and manage a team of ML/Data Scientists, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement. Define the technical roadmap and best practices for all data science initiatives, focusing on model reliability, fairness, and interpretability. Direct the design, development, and implementation of high-impact data products, especially those focused on segmentation and propensity models. You'll design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms for complex student audience analysis and AI-enabled career advising, with a strong focus on predicting student behavior and optimizing engagement strategies. Key Requirements: PhD in Computer Science or a related field. At least 10 years of experience in machine learning engineering or data science. Proven track record of managing and mentoring teams, building and deploying segmentation and propensity models in a commercial setting. Strong understanding of statistical analysis, experimental design, and A/B testing methodologies. Experience with cloud-based data platforms, data manipulation and analysis using Python, and proficiency in SQL for complex data querying and manipulation.
