Database Engineer Role Our team is seeking an experienced Data Infrastructure Specialist to lead the design and optimization of our global, multi-cloud data infrastructure. This role requires deep technical expertise across cloud platforms, modern data stack tools, and strategic partnerships. Develop scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance data pipelines using AWS Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, Azure Data Factory, and Python. Design and implement global data infrastructure across multiple regions, optimizing for latency, availability, and compliance with international data standards. Own and evolve the architecture of core databases and warehouses, including Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, and MongoDB. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee data migrations between cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), legacy systems, and global regions with minimal downtime and high data integrity. Define standards for indexing, query optimization, partitioning, and sharding strategies to support high-throughput and low-latency workloads. Champion observability by implementing and scaling monitoring, alerting, and dashboards via CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, or similar tools. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 6+ Years of experience working as Data Engineer, Database Engineer, or Cloud Data Architect. Proven AWS hands-on expertise, especially with Glue, Step Functions and Lambda. Strong Python and SQL skills for workflow development and optimization.
