Software Engineering Lead This role is focused on driving the development of scalable and efficient microservices in a cloud-native environment. Key responsibilities include: Architecting and developing high-performance microservices in Java and Spring Boot to support pricing, promotions setup, and calculation logic. Designing and maintaining event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka for real-time promotion processing, ensuring high throughput and reliability. Building and deploying services on Kubernetes, guaranteeing scalability, resilience, and observability across environments. Developing and maintaining automated build and deploy pipelines using GitHub Actions (GHA) and Argo CD, ensuring fast and secure delivery. Optimizing services for high performance and low latency, including caching strategies, database tuning, and message processing efficiency. Implementing monitoring and alerting systems using GCP Logging, New Relic, PagerDuty, and Grafana to ensure system health and proactive incident response. About This Role We are seeking an experienced software engineer to lead our backend team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: 5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in a cloud-native environment. Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes. Understanding of event-driven architecture and Apache Kafka. Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as GitHub Actions and Argo CD. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
