About the position of Design Engineer What to expect of the Design Engineer position within Huisman? Expect a challenging position in an international organisation. As a Design Engineer , you will be responsible for the execution of engineering for services, mainly but not limited to Huisman products, in accordance with project requirements and Huisman standards. As a Design Engineer you will be responsible for: Create and update engineering deliverables, e.g. designs, drawings and technical specifications for services. Supporting the execution of service projects, e.g. production, commissioning and testing and field engineering. Provide technical advice to internal and external clients. Constantly monitor, manage and report on scope, quality, budget and lead time of the service project. Provide input for continuous improvement of Huisman products, services and processes. Wondering if you are 'equipped for impact' You are/have: Autonomy: engineering jobs at services tend to be short of nature and are resolved by independent engineers. You will work in a team, but rarely on the same job. Client centricity: high focus on client satisfaction. Flexibility: ability to deal with a high variety of jobs, priorities and internal clients, which is typical at services. Problem analysis: collects and selects relevant information from different sources independently and of his/her own accord. Makes connections and organizes information. Quality oriented: responsible for quality control and compliance of service work as well as proposals for improving internal standards. Result oriented: set and achieve goals to deliver within quality, budget and on time in accordance with the agreed specification. Some practical things we need you to have: Advanced English (will be tested during the selection process). Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
