Backend Developer Role We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy developing scalable and efficient backend applications using Java. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and multithreading. They should also be proficient in SQL and relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle. Our ideal candidate will have experience building RESTful APIs and working within a microservices-based environment. They should also be familiar with performance optimization techniques, such as database indexing and query optimization. Additionally, the candidate should have a good understanding of cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. They should also possess knowledge of security best practices, including authentication standards and encryption basics. As a Backend Developer, you will work collaboratively with Development, Operations, and QA teams to design and develop scalable systems. We require strong experience with Git commands and working with GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket repositories. Language proficiency: Advanced/Fluent English is required. Working hours: Brazilian Time (BRT) from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Key Requirements: Java (JDK 8+), Spring Boot, Hibernate, and multithreading – Solid hands-on experience developing backend applications. SQL & Database Management – Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle), including basic query tuning. Microservices & API Development – Experience building RESTful APIs and working within a microservices-based environment. Performance Optimization – Familiarity with database indexing, query optimization, caching tools (Redis, Memcached), and basic JVM tuning. Cloud & DevOps – Understanding of cloud environments (preferably Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Security & Best Practices – Knowledge of authentication standards (OAuth, JWT), encryption basics, and secure coding guidelines. System Design & Scalability – Understanding of distributed systems concepts, message queues, and applications that require high availability. Collaboration & Communication – Ability to work collaboratively with Development, Operations, and QA teams. Version Control – Strong experience with Git commands (clone, commit, push, pull, branching) and working with GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket repositories.
