Role: Datadog Engineer - SRE
Contract Duration: 1 year (possible extension)
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Datadog Engineer . This is an excellent opportunity to work on international projects, leading monitoring initiatives and driving best practices in observability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end monitoring projects, collaborating with application teams and stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve monitoring gaps and performance issues.
- Standardize tagging and continuously improve monitoring processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Implement SNMP for network infrastructure monitoring integrations (e.g., SolarWinds).
- Integrate Datadog with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) for incident handling and tracking.
- Develop and maintain documentation for Datadog configurations and processes.
- Train and mentor team members on Datadog best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Datadog Certification
- Certified in Datadog, demonstrating formal expertise.
- Hands-On Experience
- Minimum of 5 years actively working with Datadog, with deep familiarity across its ecosystem.
- Technical Expertise
- Advanced knowledge of APM (Application Performance Monitoring) and Log Ingestion.
- Proficient in Terraform, Python, and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong background in incident management
- Familiarity with cost optimization strategies.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus.
