Responsibilities:

  • Develop procedures and anticipate crisis intervention for acute illnesses and injuries;
  • Maintain, assess, and interpret cumulative health data to address the individual needs of students and staff;
  • Plan and implement health management protocols for school-aged children and children with special health needs, including medication administration;
  • Promote and assist in the control of communicable diseases through preventive immunization programs, early detection, surveillance, and reporting of contagious diseases;
  • Provide direct health education and health counseling to assist students and teachers;
  • Support teachers on student health matters;
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, school policy, and administrative procedures;
  • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and school facilities;
  • Attend extracurricular activities beyond the regular school day;
  • Attend faculty meetings and participate in committee meetings when requested;
  • Assist in obtaining resources and support for students through Student Services;
  • Perform other necessary and reasonable duties as assigned by the administration.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken);
  • Degree in Nursing;
  • Proficiency in Google Suite;
  • Experience in health administrative functions is preferred.
