About the Opportunity You are a crucial link between the analytics and engineering teams, bridging the gap between data needs and technical capabilities. As a key interface, you will partner with data engineers to identify, vet, and prioritize upstream data that fulfills and facilitates analytics requirements. Your primary goal is to drive operational excellence for the analytics team while bringing efficiency to the partnership. To achieve this, you will rationalize all data requests, design ideal solutions, and execute new data flows while maintaining existing ones on a daily basis. To take your skills to the next level, you will also design, develop, and maintain robust and efficient data pipelines/processes that can meet the data needs of various use cases with minimal incremental effort. Additionally, you will proactively drive the vision for business intelligence and data warehousing across the company, defining and executing plans to achieve strategic objectives. Requirements The following qualifications are required: At least 2 years of experience in analytics and data engineering. 1+ year of experience with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or other big data processing systems. Expertise in SQL. Additionally, we seek candidates with preferred qualifications, including: A degree in a STEM field (engineering, computer science, mathematics, etc.). Experience with BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Looker, etc. Experience with Unix shell scripting and Python. Database performance tuning skills.
