Job Title: Software Developer We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for a leading hedge fund. Key Responsibilities: To design, develop, and maintain software applications using Python. To work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications. To identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. Requirements: Masters degree in Computer Science or related field. At least 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in a similar role. Strong understanding of data quality principles, including data modeling, data governance, and data analytics. Excellent knowledge of Python programming language, including hands-on experience with libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and Matplotlib. Proven experience in designing and developing reports and performance metrics from complex and disparate platforms. Familiarity with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban. Experience working with version control systems such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial. Knowledge of cloud-based services, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and project managers. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques. Familiarity with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with cloud-based storage solutions, including Amazon S3 and Azure Blob Storage. Understanding of security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption. Language Skills: Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
