Experience the thrill of architecting and implementing a cutting-edge, serverless backend system from scratch. We're seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to spearhead this ambitious project, leveraging their expertise in AWS Serverless Architecture to craft a scalable, production-ready platform. Responsibilities include designing and provisioning a full-fledged serverless architecture, encompassing API Gateway, Lambda, RDS (PostgreSQL), VPC components, and Bedrock Knowledge Base. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS SDK, IaC scripts, or automated deployment pipelines, as well as proficiency in VPC networking, IAM security policies, and integrating private Lambdas with RDS. The successful DevOps Engineer will also be responsible for configuring CloudWatch logs and alarms for monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational health, ensuring seamless integration with external APIs, particularly .NET-based systems. Additionally, they will collaborate closely with our existing .NET backend team to integrate a new Backend RAG API Service, enabling semantic search on construction specification documents through existing frontend applications. Required skills and qualifications include: Strong hands-on experience with AWS Serverless Architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB or RDS) Experience provisioning AWS environments using AWS SDK, IaC scripts, or automated deployment pipelines Proficiency with VPC networking, IAM security policies, and integrating private Lambdas with RDS Knowledge of RDS (PostgreSQL) administration and schema deployment Experience with CloudWatch for logging, metrics, and alarm configuration Ability to integrate backend services with external APIs, especially .NET-based systems Nice to have skills include experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, familiarity with AWS Bedrock, Bedrock Knowledge Base, and generative AI workloads, working knowledge of semantic search, embeddings, or vector-based search systems, experience with .NET backend integration or hybrid cloud/backend environments, exposure to infra-as-code tools (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform), and background in serverless best practices, scalability, and production hardening.
