Senior FastAPI Architect We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior FastAPI Architect to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of scalable APIs, enhance backend performance, and collaborate with Machine Learning (ML) researchers. About the Role: Design and build high-performance FastAPI services that support experimentation workflows and ML simulation environments. Collaborate closely with ML engineers to expose APIs for training, evaluation, and benchmarking. Write clean, scalable, and maintainable Python code with a strong emphasis on production readiness. Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize pipelines, and ensure smooth application deployments. Requirements: At least 3 years of experience in Python development, including 2+ years of hands-on FastAPI work for high-performance backends. 1+ year of team leadership experience mentoring teams of 5+ developers. Strong ability to review code, provide constructive feedback, and maintain high coding standards through Pull Request merges. Excellent ownership mindset with proven ability to identify risks early and manage end-to-end delivery. Expert-level knowledge of FastAPI (Flask/Django helpful but not essential). Strong background designing RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and managing full API lifecycles. Solid understanding of engineering best practices including test automation, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Git workflows, and scalable architecture patterns. Familiarity with NumPy and Pandas; exposure to TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus. Nice-to-have familiarity with Reinforcement Learning environments (OpenAI Gym, Gymnasium, Stable Baselines). Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
