About the position

Join our global accounting team, where you'll be responsible for managing two companies (U.S Focused) from Cyncly.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in the month end close including, preparing journal entries, performing monthly account reconciliations, and preparing management reports
  • Create revenue recognition plans for contracts of newly acquired business ensuring their compliance with IFRS 15. Monitor revenue recognition, contract assets and customer advances
  • Create month over month variance analysis, investigating material variances, and presenting explanations to management in a clear concise format
  • Maintain intercompany structure and accounting records. Assist in developing and maintaining a system to ensure the integrity of inter-company balances between legal entities.
  • Participate in the year end audit of financials statements including drafting note disclosures, obtaining audit support, and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Prepare and post complex journal entries, including acquisitions, leases under IFRS 16, inter-company loans in a multi-currency, multi-country environment
  • Assist in coordinating with various stakeholder groups across the platform, such as tax, treasury and FP&A
  • Support other business areas with auxiliary controls, reporting and financial activities.
  • Support in multiple ad-hoc tasks, including creating new reports, reconciliations, and processes to enhance the integrity of financial information

Profile Sought

  • CRC designation
  • Solid experience in a similar role, technology industry is an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of IFRS, especially IFRS 15
  • Experience working with an ERP, Netsuite is an asset
  • Excellent mastery of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Continuous improvement approach
