Senior Data Engineer Role Join a team of data experts in developing high-performance data processing pipelines using Python libraries like Pandas and Polars. About the Project: Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to meet business needs, utilizing advanced techniques such as parallel processing and caching. Design and implement RESTful APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks to expose data insights to stakeholders. Integrate with messaging and storage mechanisms (e.g., Service Bus, Storage Accounts) to ensure seamless data flow. Collaborate on infrastructure-as-code automation using Bicep or comparable tools to optimize deployment efficiency. Participate in design discussions for future migration to Snowflake and/or a data lake architecture, ensuring long-term scalability. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate testing and deployment processes. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, including expertise in Pandas and knowledge of Polars. Experience building backend services or APIs using frameworks like FastAPI. Solid understanding of data modeling principles and handling normalized datasets. Familiarity with enterprise messaging patterns and data integration from various sources (API-based and file-based). Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Bicep or comparable tools (Terraform, AWS CDK). Comfort with spec-driven development and leveraging AI tools like GitHub Copilot for scaffolding.
