Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead and manage both technical and operational projects within the Data Analytics department. This individual will ensure seamless execution of projects, effective management of service desk operations, and alignment of team priorities with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in project management, including certifications and advanced proficiency in JIRA.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Oversee the full project lifecycle for technical and operational initiatives within the Data Analytics department.
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensure adherence to established project management processes and methodologies.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and deliverables to stakeholders.

Service Desk Operations:

  • Manage the service desk, ensuring efficient triage, assignment, and resolution of tickets.
  • Establish and maintain service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Analyze ticket trends and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Backlog and Priority Management:

  • Maintain and manage the team's backlog, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize deliverables.
  • Conduct regular backlog grooming sessions to ensure clarity and focus.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Partner with Data Analytics Directors on special initiatives, providing project management expertise.
  • Support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) by managing assigned projects, ensuring timely and successful execution.
  • Foster collaboration across teams to drive cross-functional project success.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to optimize project management processes and methodologies.
  • Implement best practices to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes.

Qualifications :

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on technical and operational projects.

Certifications :

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent certification is required.

Technical Skills:

  • Expert-level knowledge of JIRA, including creating workflows, managing boards, and generating reports.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and technologies is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Day-to-Day Tasks :

  • Manage and monitor the service desk, including ticket triage and assignment.
  • Conduct backlog grooming sessions and manage priorities for deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics Directors and the COO on high-impact projects.
  • Provide regular status updates and project reports to stakeholders.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance team performance.
