Senior Data Engineer Job Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to spearhead the design and implementation of cutting-edge data architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing scalable, high-performance Extract, Transform, Load/Extract, Load, Transform (ETL/ELT) pipelines. Design and implement data architectures on GCP using services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Composer, and more. Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines that meet business requirements and ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to support advanced analytics and machine learning use cases. Requirements Proficiency in BigQuery, Dataflow (Apache Beam), Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub is essential. Experience with SQL, Oracle Database, and PostgreSQL is necessary. Knowledge of orchestration using Cloud Composer (Airflow) is required. Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) applied to data pipelines (Git, Terraform) is essential. Experience with cloud cost and performance optimization is necessary. GCP certifications are desirable. Knowledge of Kubernetes (GKE) and APIs on GCP is beneficial. Experience with Machine Learning pipelines (Vertex AI, AI Platform) is a plus. Previous involvement with Data Mesh and distributed architectures is an advantage. Understanding of Data Lake layers is necessary. Knowledge of batch and streaming processing is essential. Experience with data modeling (relational, dimensional, and NoSQL) is required.
