Job Title: Data Engineer Location: São Paulo, Brazil (Hybrid or Remote within Brazil) Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our data team in Brazil. The ideal candidate will design and maintain modern data pipelines and architectures, with a strong focus on Databricks development and migration projects from SAP BW to Databricks. Proficiency in português (Portuguese) is essential to ensure effective collaboration across local and global teams. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and other modern tools. Lead or support data migration projects, particularly from BW to Databricks. Collaborate with solution architects and data modelers to define data strategies and integration frameworks. Implement and optimize data processing for performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness. Establish and enforce data quality, security, and governance standards. Partner with analysts and data scientists to provide trustworthy and accessible data solutions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake, data orchestration). Hands-on experience in data migration projects, especially from SAP BW to Databricks or similar platforms. Strong programming background in Python, SQL, or Scala. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with data pipelines and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, etc.). Fluent in português (Portuguese) and proficient in English. Nice to Have Understanding of SAP data structures and integration tools. Familiarity with Spark optimization and performance tuning. Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure automation for data workloads.
