About the job As a Collections Specialist, your mission is to execute recoveries hands-on while building the foundations of a scalable, fair, and data-driven collections function. You will work directly on active cases — negotiating, prioritizing, escalating, and resolving — while also turning what you learn into clear playbooks, policies, and operating processes. This role sits at the intersection of execution and design: You recover capital today You help ensure we recover it better, faster, and more predictably tomorrow Qualifications Strong experience in collections in Brazil . Fluent in Portuguese and basic English. Solid understanding of legal and judicial recovery frameworks . Comfortable working with data, dashboards, and cohorts . Ability to reason about effort vs. yield economics . Working knowledge of SQL / BI tools (hands-on or close collaboration). Highly execution-oriented — comfortable being in the weeds. Structured thinker who turns chaos into process. Clear, practical communicator with Ops, Risk, and Legal. Ownership mindset — sees gaps and fills them. Responsibilities Execute collections hands-on across delinquency stages and products. Manage negotiations and recoveries , including complex or sensitive cases. Help design and maintain collections playbooks and policies . Continuously improve case prioritization and escalation logic . Partner with Data to translate execution insights into better segmentation and models. Support and monitor external partners (law firms, agencies). Track and communicate recovery performance and operational insights. Act as a builder of the collections function , not just an operator.
