Job Description: As a Sustaining Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our global systems. This is a hands-on, global support role that bridges Field Services and R&D Controls Engineering. You will remotely monitor and troubleshoot our automated machinery at hatcheries across various locations, ensuring uptime, reliability, and continuous improvement of our control systems. Key Responsibilities: Remotely monitor TARGAN systems via cloud dashboards, PLC access, and on-machine interfaces Provide real-time technical support to field technicians via Teams and other communication tools Analyze hatchery performance data and participate in weekly global team meetings to share insights and best practices Serve as part of the escalation process when issues impact customer operations, coordinating with internal engineering teams Support ongoing refinement and optimization of control and electrical systems Required Skills and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you will need proven ability to troubleshoot PLCs remotely and interpret electrical schematics. You should have a solid understanding of electro-mechanical systems, Ethernet networks, and industrial fieldbus protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, etc.). Familiarity with industrial control languages (ladder logic, structured text, function block) and HMI systems is also required. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Fluency in English and at least one of Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or Thai 3–5+ years of experience in engineering support or industrial automation; equivalent hands-on experience considered Benefits: We offer a highly competitive base salary, bonus, benefits, and stock options.
