We are looking for a remote Senior Front-end Engineer (Browser Extension) to develop and publish Chrome extensions for our U.S. client. The duration of this project will last 3-6 months with the opportunity to extend into a full-time position. Our client makes trust-building in business relationships effortless. At their core, our client takes the drudgery out of compliance by automating critical compliance activities and bringing joy into a traditionally drab space. The client's software platform enables companies to quickly and cost-effectively implement formal security and privacy programs, measure the effectiveness of those programs against compliance standards, and share program achievements with customers via AI to answer security questionnaires. As a result, compliance becomes habitual, simple to understand and implement, and continuously verifiable, allowing businesses to gain transparency into their compliance status. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Chrome extensions that meet product and user requirements Integrate Chrome Extension APIs to create seamless user experiences and efficient browser functionality Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to ensure smooth data flow and consistent UI/UX Debug, test, and optimize extensions for performance, compatibility, and scalability Manage the full lifecycle of Chrome extensions, including publishing, version control, and updates in the Chrome Web Store Stay current with evolving Chrome APIs and web development best practices Required Experience Excellent written and verbal English communication skills 5+ years of proven experience developing and publishing Chrome extensions Solid understanding of Chrome Extension architecture and APIs (e.G., Manifest v3, background scripts, content scripts, messaging, and permissions) Experience building interactive front-end components with .Js Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code Familiarity with version control (e.G., Git) and modern web development workflows Trustworthy, team-oriented, and transparent Preferred Experience University degree in computer science, engineering, or related field Experience with Node.Js About Velozient We are a privately held, nearshore software development company providing outsourced development resources to North American companies.
