S. (100 M people). ~600 M people globally. Career Growth: As our first full-time Staff Engineer, you will set engineering standards, establish technical direction, and grow the engineering team. About the Job As a Staff Software Engineer on Product, you will directly shape our customer-facing web app (tens of thousands of MAU) and own our highest-priority engineering initiatives. You'll partner closely with the Product Designer, both Founders, and lead our engineering team to build reliable software that drives customer retention and product velocity. You'll spend ~75% of your time writing code and ~25% on technical direction, architectural decisions, and collaborating on the product roadmap. You will operate in a Build → Measure → Learn + Iterate product loop. About You 8+ years building full-stack applications with Python and Java Script 4+ years of production React experience Able to translate Figma designs into scalable React/Python implementations Strong product-growth instincts and experience with event instrumentation Skilled with Post Hog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar tools Exceptional communicator who builds trust, aligns teams, and drives decisions Staff-level depth: setting technical direction, making architectural tradeoffs, delivering impact Adept at balancing technical debt, infra cost, engineering hours, and time-to-ship Comfortable in fast-paced startup environments where engineers own infra end-to-end Our Stack Python (Fast API) — backend Type Script (React) — frontend Postgres (Supabase) Post Hog for product analytics AWS Git Hub What You'll Do1. Build Work with the Product Designer and Founders to define the technical direction Translate customer feedback and Figma screens into clear technical requirements Break down work across yourself + 2 Full-Stack Engineers + 1 AI Engineer Own architecture, core features, and high-quality implementation Improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability across the codebase 2. Measure Instrument all necessary customer events inside our web app Ensure Post Hog receives clean, reliable data for evaluating retention and feature impact 3. Learn + Iterate Partner with the Product Designer and CTO to build charts/dashboards in Post Hog Extract insights quickly to inform product decisions Ship iterations rapidly and maintain a fast learning cycle
