Expert Ruby Integration Specialist

Delivering high-impact integrations is a core part of our critical project. As a seasoned Ruby expert, you'll collaborate closely with diverse teams to create seamless connections between Discourse and the Community platform. About the Role Develop a robust integration between P1 Discourse and the Community application within two sprints. Implement Single Sign-On using Okta and OIDC, ensuring secure token handling and session flows. Create and test group and role mapping between Community roles and Discourse groups. Build backend Ruby adapters for moderation, taxonomy, and role syncing, gated behind feature flags. Design and implement shared header and navigation elements for a consistent cross-platform experience. Develop webhook pipelines from Discourse into Snowflake for analytics, validating data accuracy. Plan and execute a clear cutover and rollback strategy, including checklists and validation steps. Contribute to technical designs, threat models, and operational readiness documents. Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to integrate adapters, UI components, and test coverage. Coordinate with Security and IT on Okta configuration, secrets, and access policies. Work with Data Engineering to finalize webhook schemas, retries, and observability. Support sprint ceremonies, demos, and unblock teammates on integration or Ruby-related tasks. Your Qualifications Experience with Ruby development and integration projects. Familiarity with Single Sign-On implementations and security best practices. Understanding of group and role management in community platforms. Proficiency in designing and implementing backend adapters. Knowledge of webhooks and analytics tools like Snowflake. Ability to plan and execute complex integration projects. Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
