We're looking for a motivated and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team and support our tax consultants and professionals. You'll play a vital role in assisting with various tax-related tasks, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional client service.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist tax consultants and professionals with a variety of tax-related tasks, including data entry, research, and calculations.
  • Prepare and organize all tax documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain detailed client records and ensure all files are organized efficiently.
  • Answer client questions regarding tax matters in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on current tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned, supporting the smooth operation of the tax department.

You are the ideal candidate if you have:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or tax-related role (or equivalent education).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data accurately and identify discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain tax concepts to clients.
  • A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with tax software programs (e.g., TurboTax, ProSeries).
  • An understanding of basic tax principles and regulations.
  • A positive and personable demeanor with a strong customer service focus.
