Job Title: Rust Developer

Introduction:

Our dynamic and forward-thinking company is looking for a Rust Developer with experience to expand our team of talented professionals. Rust is a modern systems programming language that emphasizes safety, concurrency, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of Rust programming and an enthusiasm for tackling system-level challenges. We need a problem-solver who can create robust, secure, and scalable applications to strengthen our technological framework. Your role will be crucial in ensuring our software not only meets but exceeds our standards for speed, efficiency, and reliability.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

- Design and develop high-quality, efficient, and maintainable Rust code.

- Work with various stakeholders to define and deliver new features and services.

- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring application security.

- Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve code issues, ensuring continuous system stability.

- Uphold and enhance code quality through writing clean code and performing code reviews.

- Participate actively in design discussions and contribute to the advancement of our development processes.

- Keep abreast of the latest Rust updates and integrate new tools and techniques into the development workflow.

- Collaborate with the DevOps team to facilitate seamless deployment and operation of Rust applications.

Required Qualifications:

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

- 4+ years of experience in Rust development or similar system-level programming roles.

- Strong understanding of Rust's ownership model, memory management, and concurrency patterns.

- Solid grasp of software engineering principles and system architecture.

- Proficiency with Git or other version control systems.

- Proficient in writing comprehensive unit and integration tests.

Desired or Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

- Experience with C or C++ is strongly preferred.

- Knowledge of asynchronous programming in Rust, including futures and async/await patterns.

- Familiarity with WebAssembly (WASM) and related Rust tooling.

- Exposure to blockchain development and smart contracts is a plus.

- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and associated best practices.

- Excellent documentation and clear communication skills.

- Ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative work environments.

Tools Required:

- Comfortable with Rust development tools such as Cargo, rustc, and Rustup.

- Proficient in using Rust-specific debugging and performance profiling tools.

- Experience with build and automation tools relevant to Rust development.

- Familiar with database integration in Rust, including both SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Comfort operating in a Unix/Linux environment.

- Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
