Senior Backend Engineer ( NestJS & React) Sao Paulo, Brazil Long term Contract Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using NestJS and Node.js Build and integrate RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs for frontend and external systems Collaborate closely with frontend engineers using React.js to deliver seamless user experiences Architect and implement cloud-native microservices on Google Cloud Platform Develop event-driven systems using messaging/streaming platforms (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka, etc.) Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and reliability Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection best practices Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following industry best practices Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural decisions Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance Work closely with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and deployments Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong experience in Backend development using NestJS and Node.js Hands-on experience with React.js (integration and collaboration with frontend teams) Solid understanding of API-driven architectures (REST / GraphQL) Experience building microservices and event-driven systems Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus) Knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) Strong understanding of security best practices and scalable system design Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
