About the Role

Flatiron Software Co. is seeking a skilled Connected TV (CTV) Developer on behalf of one of our clients in the streaming and media industry. The successful candidate will join the client's engineering team to help design, develop, and optimize applications for major CTV platforms.

This is a full-time fully remote working opportunity where you will be working as part of a Scrum team which requires working closely with other software engineers, stakeholders and contributors on the project. Working with respect to the US timezone is a requirement for the position. Attending meetings, being actively involved in the decision making process and collaborating with all of these stakeholders are essential parts of this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications for major CTV platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and product improvements.
  • Optimize applications for performance, stability, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across devices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong experience developing applications for at least one CTV platform : Roku, Apple TV (tvOS), Fire TV, or Samsung Smart TV.
  • Preferably, hands-on experience with two or more platforms .
  • Proficiency with relevant languages and frameworks (e.g., BrightScript for Roku, Swift/Objective-C for tvOS, Java/Kotlin for Fire TV, Tizen/JavaScript for Samsung).
  • Solid understanding of video streaming technologies, including DRM, HLS/DASH, and media player frameworks.
  • Experience with API integration and working with backend services.
  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
  • Advanced English proficiency with strong communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with analytics, testing, or advertising integrations in CTV apps.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes.
