Remote Security Designer and Estimator

Job Overview We're seeking a detail-driven Security Designer and Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for reviewing construction drawings, bids, and tender packages to design integrated security systems and prepare accurate cost estimates for complex projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with project managers, sales teams, and vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance. Your strong self-management and organizational skills will enable you to excel in this remote role. To succeed in this position, you will need to possess excellent technical skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam. You should also have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. Key Responsibilities Design Integrated Security Systems Review and interpret technical drawings, floor plans, door schedules, and tender documents Design CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion, Intercom systems Design low-voltage/data systems including structured cabling, network racks, and pathways Prepare Accurate Cost Estimates Prepare material take-offs (MTO), labour estimates, and detailed cost proposals Produce layouts, risers, and markups using AutoCAD and Bluebeam Collaborate with Stakeholders Develop and submit accurate quotations and bid packages Collaborate with sales, PMs, and vendors to confirm pricing, timelines, and compatibility Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, drawings, and documentation Participate in Project Handovers Participate in handover meetings for awarded projects Contribute to Continuous Improvement Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating templates and design standards Requirements We're looking for someone with: Excellent Technical Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills What We Offer In return for your expertise, we offer: A competitive salary and benefits package The opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects A collaborative and dynamic work environment
