BI Analyst

We are seeking a skilled and creative BI Analyst to join our dynamic Data and Analytics team at BRP. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming complex data sets into insightful visualizations, providing actionable insights for business stakeholders. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the decision-making process and enhance the impact of our data-driven initiatives.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Work in coordination with the Product Owner and the Corporate Services Analytics team in an agile methodology to deliver value on identified features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and objectives.
• Design and develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using industry-leading data visualization tools such as Power BI tools including DAX.
• Translate complex data sets into clear, concise, and meaningful visualizations that aid in decision-making.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security while developing visualizations.
• Maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and user guides for dashboards and reports.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in data visualization to continuously improve and innovate.
• Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on utilizing and interpreting visualizations effectively.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Visualization Specialist or similar role.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data analysis, and data visualization using Power BI tools, including DAX.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and familiarity with data preparation techniques.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies.
