Key accountabilities:

o            Support Project EHS manager for EHS topics

o            Cooperate with the internal resources to achieve EHS objectives.

o            Support the Project EHS Manager to perform EHS Risk Assessment and to define appropriate measures to control risks.

o            Support the EHS Project Manager to prepare, implement and maintain emergency plans.

o            Assist Project EHS Manager to coordinate and control activities with respect of EHS, especially where interfaces are involved with other contractors or operation areas.

o            Provide support and advice to project personnel to prevent injury, damage to plant and equipment, fire, environmental pollution.

o            Recognize the best practices and the good performance. React to violations to regulations and Alstom Standards.

o            Advise other Project personnel on all aspects of EHS applicable to project activities.

o            Develop Project EHS Management System

o            Support the Project EHS Manager to develop, deploy and maintain the local procedures and tools and make sure they are aligned with Alstom Standards and international standards (ISO 14001 and ISO45001).

o            Support the Project EHS Manager to ensure that Alstom EHS standards and tools (AZDP, TOP_E, Transport Key processes) are deployed at Project level.

o            EHS Compliance

o            Assist the Project EHS Manager to ensure compliance of the project activities according to the EHS Plan, guidelines and work instructions.

o            Perform EHS legal compliance checks for specific requirements.

o            Develop EHS culture in the project

o            Inform, instruct and train employees to carry out the work in safe & environment-friendly mode according to the method of statement.

o            Participate in the implementation of the project EHS training programs by providing EHS inductions and ensuring Tool Box meetings are organized.

             Report, Measure & Review

o            Support the EHS Project Manager to capture, report, record, investigate and analyse accidents/incidents in order to implement corrective and preventive actions. 

o            Support the preparation of monthly EHS reports. Can be in charge of feeding EHS Teranga reporting system in line with Group reporting requirements and under control by Project EHS manager.

o            Carry out inspections of work areas and carry out EHS audits and report any discrepancy.

Performance measurements:   (OTD, QCD, Sales, PMC, Orders, Gross margin, etc.)

o            IFR 1 & IFR 2

o            Fatality / severe accidents

o            SOV number

o            Health and wellbeing (Occupational diseases, ergonomic)

o            Environment ( Energy, water, waste, TOPE, VOC,..) 

 

Mandatory:

o            University Engineer or Business Degree

o            Health & Safety Qualification recognized by the enforcing authorities in the country of operation (when required).   

 

Desirable:

o            Degree level Environmental Qualification to Diploma or Degree level
