The role of this position is to evaluate intricate challenges on behalf of both internal and external clients, navigating scenarios with undefined parameters to devise solutions in the absence of precedents from past experiences. The position may also entail project management responsibilities.

The role 

  • Perform complex assessments and provide specialized advice for service delivery, research, or development work within defined parameters, including budget constraints and contractual requirements.
  • Produce deliverables within agreed parameters and formats, taking responsibility to review colleagues' work as requested.
  • Discuss and present deliverables to internal and external clients at a senior level, offering alternative solutions when appropriate.
  • Undertake administrative tasks as required, adhering to current processes and procedures.
  • Assess and recommend the time and value of work for internal and external clients within agreed fee structures and commercial aspects of contracts.
  • Make recommendations based on client feedback to improve service delivery and contribute to business development.
  • Contribute to internal and external client management as needed.
  • Conduct activities in accordance with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue Continuous Professional Development to maintain a high level of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Mentor and coach other technical employees to facilitate effective technical knowledge transfer and application.
  • Manage projects as applicable, including monitoring project progress, expenditures against budget, and compliance with contractual requirements.Top of Form

  

What you bring 

 

  • A degree or equivalent qualification from a tertiary organization recognized by Lloyd’s Register in the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of a two-year program).
  • Membership in an appropriate professional institution.
  • Progress towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
  • Proficiency in English suitable for the work.
  • In-depth knowledge of offshore unbonded flexible pipeline and riser systems.
  • Comprehensive technical understanding of the design of unbonded flexible pipes in line with the TSO Pipelines DA technical competency framework.
