Why this role is important to us The role will report directly to the Senior Managers for Investment Compliance and Product Risk, Fund Risk and Operational Risk, depending on the particular focus of work allocated to the
VIE.

This is an important role within the organization as it contributes to the oversight of both the Investment Management business and the Management Company business as well as ensuring that the funds are complying with relevant regulations and client guidelines.

Both the Investment Management and Management Company businesses are growing and changing so there are continued opportunities for learning and development on the job.

The successful candidate will work closely with various members of the overall Risk department as well as the Investment teams and other teams as required.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring and control of all risk classifications: market, regulatory, liquidity, valuation, credit, counterparty, commercial, operational and reputational risksMonitor IMA, prospectus, regulatory, risk and internal limits on the portfolios managed in Dublin on both a pre and post trade basis.

Monitor requirements under the Investment Risk framework as required.

Liaise with the Investment teams to resolve any breaches identified, as well as addressing any queries relating to daily monitoring.

Handle queries received to the team mailbox and ensure they are responded to appropriately and timely.

Prepare and participate in portfolio reviews with Investment Teams to assess and address investment risks on an ongoing basisParticipate in the oversight of the client funds that are delegated to other Investment Management companies.

Provide updates to other members of the team regarding daily monitoring workAssist with roll out risk mapping and permanent controls across the Dublin business line.

Assist with management of operational events investigate root cause and propose mitigating controls and development of action plan with the relevant Business units.

Analyse and report on risk management trends

Assist with operation and maintenance of operational risk tools (Risk Database - Olimpia) and measures (Permanent Controls and KPIs) for specified risk areas.

Assist in the management of Regulatory Outsourcing Requirement.
Analyse and report on risk management trends, and liaise with business units in taking corrective action where required.

Help with preparation of documents to be presented at the Risk Management Committee and Board reporting, as well as other meetings as required.

Assist the Risk team on projects and initiatives where directed.

The V.I.E and V.I.A are civic services put in place by the French State to encourage young people and companies to undertake work abroad.

As a result, V.I.E status is subject to specific conditions concerning age, nationality or tax residence.

To go on a V.I.E assignment, you must make sure that you meet these conditions relating to the National Service Code, the rules of the host country and your commitment to Business France.
