Skills and Experience

Involved in supporting the team which provides high quality early childhood education and care;
Working in accordance with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law and applicable regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care;
Working in accordance with the Code of Ethics;
Working in accordance with the services Code of Conduct;
Implementing and upholding the services' philosophy while undertaking all duties;
Support the implementation of contemporary, research-based practices at the service;
Maintain and uphold Workplace Health and Safety;
Maintain and uphold privacy and confidentiality;
Providing ongoing support and assistance to other staff in all areas of service operation;
Sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards;
Ensure they/you? have a sound understanding of the expectations outlined in this document to enable work performance to be executed according to our service standards; and
Undertake other duties requested by the Director

Essential Criteria:

Diploma of Early Childhood Education/Services or equivalent (ACECQA approved)
Proven experience in a similar role or demonstrated natural ability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of DET Regulations, National Quality Standards, Frameworks and Early Years Learning Framework
Knowledge of Child Safe Standards and Child Protection
Passionate about Early Childhood Development and the importance of high-quality Early Years programs
Ability to attend monthly staff meetings
Enthusiasm towards personal training and learning opportunities
Ability to work a variety of shifts between 7.00am and 6.00pm, Monday - Friday
Current First Aid/CPR qualification
Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
Current Working With Children Check or VIT registration
