SAP Concur, market leader in integrated travel, expense and invoice management, has embarked on a journey to re-imagine business travel. In an industry that's becoming increasingly more complex with suppliers launching new differentiated product bundles and rich merchandising offers, we have an opportunity to completely re-think the end-to-end shop and book experience. We are building our next generation Online Booking Tool from the ground up and in new technologies to guide the business traveler, make informed decisions while helping companies meet their objectives around policy compliance and budget control.

TripIt, the leading travel Itinerary management service from SAP Concur, helps people organize and share their travel plans no matter where they book.

We're looking for Senior Development Engineer to help build next-generation microservices and API's using cloud-first concepts and technologies including containerization, serverless architecture, and increased use of native AWS tools and services and best practices.

Value You Deliver

  • Design, development & delivery of new features as part of agile team
  • Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from product management, interaction designers, and other engineering teams (platform, mobile, quality).
  • Pro-actively identify ways to make TripIt more robust, scalable and user-friendly.
  • Own cloud services end to end, delivering distributed systems using AWS native services
  • Execute with an enterprise cloud mindset to deliver on security, compliance, and infrastructure initiatives with engineering program management.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
  • Excellent professional software development experience (developing consumer web applications preferred).
  • Experience with client-side application development in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue or React is a plus.
  • Expertise with server-side web frameworks preferred (Python/Django or PHP/Symfony preferred)
  • DevOps mentality with an understanding of Continuous Delivery and Observability.
  • Knowledge of one or more relational databases such as MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle (familiarity with one or more NoSQL databases is a plus)
  • Experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and knowledge on AWS primitives such as EC2, AMIs, EKS, Dynamo is highly desired.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication with ability to explain complex technical concepts with ease across an organization.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud native solutions is preferred.
  • Experience in Travel Technologies a plus
  • Excellent English communication.
